Congratulations to Caden Lawson!
Caden, a senior at Dixie High School, has reached another major milestone in the Abbeville County Career Center Welding Program. He is the first and only student at the career center to TIG weld stainless steel pipe—and as of today, he successfully passed the bend test to earn his certification in stainless steel pipe.
Caden is now certified under three AWS codes: MIG, FCAW, and SMAW. He has also earned certification under two ASME codes for GTAW pipe (carbon and stainless steel).
Caden’s achievement is a powerful example of what hard work, self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and a never-quit attitude can accomplish. This is a huge accomplishment not only for Caden, but also for the welding program and Abbeville County School District!
